This short documentary tells the story of Yvonne Dowlen, who rose to fame as an Ice Capades star and never officially retired. At the age of 90, she was still skating five days a week. Edges is a celebration of longevity and resilience. World Premiere at Mountainfilm in Telluride 2016. Received Grand Prize for Best Short Documentary at Heartland Film Festival 2017 and the Audience Choice Award for Best Short Documentary at Sedona International Film Festival. For the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, we had the privilege of producing this project featuring Rico Roman: Purple Heart recipient, Paralympic gold medalist and U.S. Sled Hockey Player for Team USA. Rico is the real deal: a humble, inspiring and resilient athlete and leader. We’re grateful to know he’s representing us and Team USA in the Winter Games.

“Sentiment without action is the ruin of the soul.” So we decided to take action by helping New Era Colorado create a short film to mobilize young voters to exercise their right to vote. We teamed up with Denver’s Youth Poet Laureate to bring the conversations back to the issues and focus on real change. The video was distributed by Upworthy and was viewed over a million times.

wyoming department of corrections
We partnered with Wyoming-based marketing agency Warehouse Twenty One to create a filmic recruitment tool for the Wyoming Department of Corrections (WDOC). Shooting at locations across Wyoming, we told the personal, real-life stories of correctional officers to depict what it’s like to live in the state and build a career with the WDOC. The film has redefined the WDOC brand and anchors their recruiting efforts on the department’s redesigned website (www.wdoc.jobs). WDOC staff have received the film as an inspirational, morale-boosting portrait of the important work they do for Wyoming.
hillary for america
A 12 year old girl named Olivia wrote an earnest letter to Hillary Clinton about her hopes, her challenges, and her desire to see a woman become president. We spent the afternoon with this darling future constituent and captured the journey from Olivia’s home to the Hillary for America HQ in Brooklyn Heights where she wanted to volunteer. We knew that the story of one could be an artful way to share the message of Secretary Clinton’s policy positions on education and equality.
Cognoscenti is an adventure travel startup that brought us on board while preparing to launch their elite Boulder-based cycling trips. We partnered with the branding brilliance of Angry + Bovine to create a brand video that seamlessly integrated into their shiny new site. Inspiring story + great design = experiences sold.
We created an opening video to kick off TEDx Boulder. Our aim was to create a tribute to our unique & lively community that would inspire the 2,000 attendees, as well as online audiences following the success of the event. We filmed our favorite things about Boulder, identified their brand ambassadors, and made sure it entertained the right crowd. Within one week of the event, 50,000 people had enjoyed the piece online.
annie’s + foodcorps
Annie’s is a leading organics brand that knows the importance of nourishing foods and giving back. FoodCorps is an organization that teaches kids about healthy food by building school gardens and bringing high-quality local food into public school cafeterias. Annie’s is a ‘seed funder’ for FoodCorps and its network of passionate leaders who connect kids to real food. We were tasked with creating a lighthearted video to highlight their inspiring partnership by showing that kids can have fun while preparing and eating healthy food.
boulder international film festival
The Boulder International Film Festival approached us to collaborate with the Academy Award-winning team behind the documentary The Cove to create a dynamic short film to promote the new film Racing Extinction and the ‘Bond Tesla’ that paid a visit to Colorado. The film was a hit with the festival audience and we made sure to identify and leverage brand champions for the ensuing online release.
